What in the World is Free Will

A short reflection on a notoriously long-winded topic.

To believe in free will or not is trivial.

Whither you decide, you are either the living will of the universe as it was in the beginning, or the living will of your self from birth.

Both ideas are the same in utility.

We could be the very language of the universe, dancing about as we please, forming words as we choose, only to find the universe chose them for us first.

On an infinite timeline there is no free will. There only is, and apparently without any initial cause.

Determinism is undeniable, but it fails to tell us how we ought to live.

For this reason, we must put it away from our minds, lest the infinity of being itself leave us in a state of useless shock, incapable of decision or action.
